Aspen Fourth of July

Ash & JT along the river in Aspen

Living in Breckenridge is usually always fun, except for the holidays and certain times during the year when thousands of tourists flood into the small mountain town. Then it can be daunting just to drive down main street or go grocery shopping! So, for the Fourth of July we decided to get away and spend the day away from our "local" madness. Aspen is one of my favorite towns in Colorado and that I have visited to date. It is beautiful in every way! I knew that my sister and JT would love it as well, so we packed up the dogs and an ice chest and drove the 2 hour drive over Independence Pass to gorgeous Aspen. We spent the majority of the day walking around, just simply taking in the sights. Aspen has beautiful parks and river walking trails. Not, to mention how unbelievable the houses and real estate is throughout all the neighborhoods. Everyone was very festive and celebratory in spirit for the Fourth. We ended the warm sunny day with some tasty sushi outdoors overlooking the green ski slopes. Another beautiful day in the mountains!
