Maroon Bells Camping

About a week ago, my parents got into town to visit us in the mountains. We had a great time; summer up here is amazing. We decided to go camping in White River National Forest, just outside of Aspen. We set up camp right along side the White River just outside of one of the most popular scenic sites in Colorado, the Maroon Bell Mountains. The Maroon Bells resemble the Grand Tetons, rising jaggedly up into the blue sky. The river, wild flowers, clear mountain lakes, and fresh air were refreshing. We had a camp fire, roasted hot dogs and smores, and hiked around for a couple of days. Aspen and the area surrounding, is truly one of my favorite places in Colorado! And not to mention how great of a time the dogs had...even little Baxter.
