Settled? Well, not quite yet. But I am here. Here and living just outside of Breckenridge, Colorado with my husband in our cozy and fun mountain home. After a month of painting, moving furniture, and trying to get a job lined up, I guess you could say that I am adapting slowly to the altitude. Our house stands at over 11,000 feet in beautiful Placer Valley. Great for the views but not so great for the lungs. Ever tried running 4 miles at an incline through the clouds? Perhaps my love for running will be taken over by wild mountain biking expeditions and cross country skiing. Though it has not been easy, I am here. And I am thankful to be here because I am breathing in the fresh air of the mountains. As summer slowly winds down and autumn approaches I can't help but want to usher in the first snow. I know, I know. By April I will be wanting to catch the first flight to Florida and get where its actually spring. But there's something about the snow that has always made me love the mountains. Of course I wouldn't want winter to come without first taking in the colors of the aspens scattered in my back yard....heavenly.
