So, my sister got my dog Sady a new Polo top. Isn't she adorable? As I saw her picture I realized how much I miss her...miss family...miss home. Sure, I live in the incredible mountains of Colorado, but I wish so badly that I could have moved my closest friends and family with me! Today I went on a 6 mile hike by myself up to a lake at about 14,000 ft. About 1/2 from the top, I was forced to go back down due to a driving hail that was coming down. It was disappointing, but just going out hiking felt good. Last night we had our first snow...yes snow. It didn't get down to our house, but it covered all the surrounding peaks. It was gorgeous. But as I take in the new season approaching and watch the colors change before me, I still long for home. I think down deep I always will. I am trying to make this new place my "home." And over time it will become home. But nothing can replace the comfort of my real "home". It is something I will always long for...I count my blessings to know that it will always be there waiting for me to return.
