A couple weeks ago, I decided to try to hike the three 14,000 mountains...all in one afternoon. The mountains are literally only five minutes from our house. JT was at work so I would be hiking alone, a not so good scenario for someone like me who easily can follow my hunger for adventure vs. staying on the trail. I somehow managed to find the trail to a beautiful lake known as Kite Lake instead of the trails leading to the summits! It was a gorgeous hike and the pics above are of me sitting on a cliff above the lake. I tried to make the summit of the mountain above the lake, but with there being no trail and no rope to climb with, I got stuck above the skyline. It was a nice place to have a quick lunch and admire the views.
