A Little Tribute to John Denver....

One of my favorite Christmas songs (non hymn) is John Denver's Aspen Glow. There are a few reasons why. One being that this has always been one of my mom's favorite Christmas songs and as a little girl we would listen to it and dream of the mountains. Second, living in the mountains really makes the Christmas season all the more magical and enchanting. Third, I really am a closet fan of John Denver. I admire his life spent in Colorado and nature itself, writing about the simple and beautiful elements of the world around him. And last, Aspen is one of my favorite mountain towns that I have come across. So, I thought I would share this song with you all.
Aspen Glow
See the sunlight through the pine
Taste the warm of winter wine
Dream of softly falling snow
Winter skol, Aspenglow
As the winter days unfold
Hearts grow warmer with the cold
Peace of mind is all you know
Winter skol, Aspenglow
Aspen is the life to live
See how much there is to give
See how strongly you believe
See how much you may receive
Smiling faces all around
Laughter is the only sound
Memories that can't grow old
Winter skol, Aspenglow
See the sunlight through the pine
Taste the warm of winter wine
Dream of softly falling snow
Winter skol, Aspenglow
Winter skol, Aspenglow
See the sunlight through the pine
Taste the warm of winter wine
Dream of softly falling snow
Winter skol, Aspenglow
As the winter days unfold
Hearts grow warmer with the cold
Peace of mind is all you know
Winter skol, Aspenglow
Aspen is the life to live
See how much there is to give
See how strongly you believe
See how much you may receive
Smiling faces all around
Laughter is the only sound
Memories that can't grow old
Winter skol, Aspenglow
See the sunlight through the pine
Taste the warm of winter wine
Dream of softly falling snow
Winter skol, Aspenglow
Winter skol, Aspenglow

I am glad you had the courage to 'come out of the closet' and join all genuine Coloradans as a John Denver fan! Is it even possible not to be a fan--I don't think so.
